A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR ADDING THE PERMITTED
USE OF AUTOMOBILE SALES AND SERVICE IN AN M -2 ZONING
Whereas, The City has received a request to modify the current M -2 Zoning to include
Automobile Sales and Service, and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that the M -2 Zoning code will
need to be amended if it wishes to allow Automobile Sales and Service;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set the
public hearing date for January 9, 2013 to discuss adding the permitted use of
automobile sales and service to M -2 Zoning.
On the 12th day of December, 2012, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2012 -83, A RESOLUTION
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR ADDING THE PERMITTED USE OF
AUTOMOBILE SALES AND SERVICE IN AN M -2 ZONING and made a motion for
approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Phillips, Upton, Bartels, Ryan, Kahler
Nays: None
Absent: None
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2012 -83, A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR ADDING THE PERMITTED USE OF AUTOMOBILE SALES AND
SERVICE IN AN M -2 ZONING to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by
affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 12th day of December, 2012.
