Held on March 14,2016
In the Boardroom
Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were: Mayor Collins, Trustee Peck,
Trustee Wojowski, Trustee Lamb, and Trustee O'Rourke. Board Absent: Trustee Racich and
Trustee Bonuchi. Others present: Brian Murphy, Village Administrator; Michelle Gibas, Village
Clerk; Doug Kissel, Wastewater Superintendent; Allen Persons, Public Works Director; Randy
Jessen, Public Improvements Superintendent; Jon Proulx, Planner; Ken Goska, Building Official;
Traci Pleckham, Management Services Director; and John Konopek, Chief of Police. There were
approximately 4 persons in the audience.
Trustee Peck moved to approve the Minutes of the Committee of the Whole Workshop held on
February 22, 2016. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0 Opposed.
PRESIDENTIAL COMMENTS
Mayor Collins commented on the St. Patrick's Day parade and St. Baldrick's and thanked everyone
involved.
TRUSTEES COMMENTS
Trustee Wojowski:
• Stated that he would like to see checks and board packets available online.
• Suggested looking into an internet purchase exchange location program.
• Encouraged everyone to Vote in tomorrow's primary election.
Trustee Peck:
• Stated that he agrees with Trustee Wojowski's comments and also would like the staff to look
into the internet purchase exchange program.
• Reminded everyone to watch for motorcycles
PUBLIC COMMENTS

Mayor Collins announced that the items on the Agenda will be discussed in reverse order.
WORKSHOP
#2 LOWER DUPAGE RIVER WATERSHED COALITION
Ms. Jennifer Hammer, The Conservation Foundation, gave a presentation updating the Village Board
on the status and progress of the Lower DuPage River Watershed Coalition. Ms. Hammer reviewed
their efforts of 2015 and gave an overview of what to expect in 2016. Ms. Hammer pointed out that
they are partnering with the DuPage River Salt Creek Workgroup on an identification and
prioritization tool using all data collected. That report will help identify restoration project goals by
segment of river. Ms. Hammer also reviewed the contributions of financial report and thanked the
Village Board for their participation. Ms. Hammer encouraged everyone to visit
www.dupagerivers.org to find out more information including upcoming meeting dates.

#1 DUPAGE RIVER STUDY
Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineering, gave a presentation regarding the DuPage
River Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study. The representatives gave an overview of the study
including the study area and pointed out the study funding partnerships including DuPage County
Stormwater Management Planning Committee and the Will County Executive Office. They also
pointed out that the Illinois Department of Natural Resources—Office of Water Resources is a non-
funding partner.
The representatives reviewed the study objectives including reducing the risk of flood damages to
structures and infrastructures; minimizing flood impacts to critical facilities; and, maximizing use of
nature based features. The representatives reviewed the study steps and estimated timeline. The
representatives estimated that a report would be submitted to Congress in 2018.
Mayor Collins thanked everyone for the presentation and read the reminders.
Trustee Peck moved to adjourn. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0 Opposed.
