Airport Community Outreach, Facility Tours, and Training
February tasking included introductions to personnel at McCall Aviation, Sawtooth Aviation, Dew Aircraft, McCall Mountain/Canyon Flying, USFS, TO Engineering, Federal Aviation Association
(FAA), and Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) Aeronautics, MYL High Flying Club, Idaho Aviation Association (IAA), the hangar community, and the City of McCall.
Airport Superintendent Jerry Bisom provided tours of airport facilities and equipment and highlighted key areas of concern.
City personnel provided key trainings related to Fiscal, City Council, Department Head, and other responsibilities.
A Meet the New Airport Manager Open House for airport stakeholders is scheduled for March 11 at Hangar 100.
Airport Master Plan and Airport Layout Plan
AMP and ALP are on track. The final public comment period was held on March 3 in Legion Hall After an additional 30 days, the master plan and airport layout plan will be sent to Council,
and upon approval will be sent to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for final review and acceptance letter.
Airport Improvement Plan 031
One bid from Granite Construction was received for Taxiways D and E Reconstruction and Runway 16-34 Rehabilitation. The bid was significantly higher than the estimate. Airport Management
is collaborating with TO Engineering and the FAA to amend the grant application.
Airport Open House
The Annual Airport Open House is scheduled for June 25, 2022. Airport Management is working with volunteers from IAA, the MYL High Flying Club, Air St. Luke’s, and many other organizations
and individuals to create a fun, family-friendly event.
