HomeMy Public PortalAbout046-2013 - 2013 Civilian Salary Ord Amendment - Stormwater & Clerks Office - StrickenORDINANCE NO. 46-2013 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 52-2012 KNOWN AS THE 2013 SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointive officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments, except police officers and firefighters, prior to September 30 for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and WHEREAS, said statute allows the City Clerk to fix the compensation of the deputies and employees of the Clerk's office prior to September 30 for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and WHEREAS, the compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fixed but may b reduced by the Mayor for each appointive officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments se forth herein or by the City Clerk for employees of the Clerk's office; except by amendment approved b Common Council. WHEREAS, Common Council has previously adopted Ordinance 52-2012 to establish salaries for the year 2013 an( now finds it necessary to amend the salaries and position titles of various departments NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that the following positions be compensated not in excess of the respective sums hereafter set forth during the calendar year 2013, to wit 2013 2013 Bi-Weekly Salary Hourly Rate Office of the City Clerk Deputy Clerk 1,242.89 Denartment of Public Works and EnQineerin Director of Public Works and Eng. 2,183.21 Surveyor 1,796.15 Airport Operations Manager 1,242.89 Airport Line Operator (2) 1,025.87 Roseview and Off St. Prkg Mgr 1,485.25 Assistant Operations Manager 1,031.58 Dispatcher 914.58 Transit Bus Driver (13) 1,104.80 13.81 TEMPORARY AND PART-TIME In addition to the positions set forth above, the Mayor and the City Department Heads may, as needed, hire an( compensate part-time or temporary employees as permitted by their respective budgets. Compensation for these positions m,- range from $7.25 to $15.00 per hour. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION In addition to the salaries set forth above, certain employees, excluding members of the Board of Works, the Aviation Boar and the Park and Recreation Board, may be entitled to additional compensation, such, as overtime, compensation time, etc., an fringe benefits as set forth within the City of Richmond Personnel Policy or as stated in negotiated contract,, Passed and adopted this day of February, 2013 by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
