STATE OF NEW JERSEY
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
GREEN ACRES
ENABLING RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program
("State"), provides loans and/or grants to municipal and county governments and grants to
nonprofit organizations lbr assistance in the acqmsition and development of lands t'ur
outdoor recreation and conservation purposes: and
WHEREAS, the Borough of (?arteret desires to further the public interest by obtaining a loan
of S261,500 and a grant of $261,500 from the State to fund the following project: Pond
Restoration in Carteret Park: and
NOW, THEREFORE, the governing body/board has authorized the Borough Engineer,
Donald J. Norbut, P.E., C.M.E., of T&M Associates to:
(a) make application lbr such a loan
(b) provide additional application information and furnish such documents as
may be required
(c) act as the authorized con-espondent of the abnve named applicant, and
WHEREAS, the State shall determine if the application is complete and in conformance ~vith
the scope and intent of the Green Acres Program. and notify the applicant of the amount of
the funding award; and
WIIEREAS, the applicant is willing to use the State's funds in accordance with such rules,
regulations and applicable statutes, and is willing to enter into an agreement with the State
tk>r the above named project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the Mayor of thc above named body or board is hereby authorized to execute
an agreement and any amendment thereto with the State t'ur the project known as
Pond Restoration in Carterct Park, and:
2. That thc applicant has its matching share of thc project, it' a match is required.
3. That, in the event the State's funds arc less than the total project cost specified
above, the applicant has thc balance of funding necessm¢: to complete the project,
and;
4. The applicant agrees to comply with all applicable federal state, and local laws,
rules, and regulations in its perfornrance of the project.

5. That this resolution shall takc effect immediately.
6. That a certified copy of this Resolution be fbrwarded to Donald J. Norbut, P.E.,
C.ME.. of T&M Associates. Ibr submission to the New Jersey Department of
Environmental Protection. Green Acres.
