AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2013 BUDGET
WHEREAS, Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana passed an annual budget for calendar
year 2012 on September 29th, 2011 (Ordinance No. 47-2011); and
WHEREAS Common Council did not pass the proposed 2013 budget on October 15th, 2012
(Ordinance 20-2012) and, as a result, maintained the same appropriations as 2012; and
WHEREAS, Common Council has determined it necessary to transfer money from one major budget
classification to another within a department or office; and
WHEREAS, The transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total amount set out
in the 2013 budget as finally determined under Indiana Code 6-1.1-1-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, This transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice and without the
approval of the Department of Local Government Finance.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the 2013 budget be amended as follows:
A. General Fund -Mayor
1. Delete $1,200.00 from Promotion and Marketing

2. Add $1,200.00 to Salary and Wages
Account number 10 1.0 1.00 1. 110.000. 1196
B. General Fund - Law Department
1 Delete $1,200.00 from Subscription and Dues
Account number 101.05.050.110.000.3910
2. Add $1,200.00 to Salaries and Wages
Account number 101.05.050.110.000.1196
C. General Fund — information Technoloy
1. Delete $4,000.00 from Computer Equipment and Software
Account number 101.12.120.110.000.4435
2. Add $4,000.00 to Salary and Wages
Account number 101.12.120.110.000.1196
