HomeMy Public PortalAbout005-1988- APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE CUMMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDAPPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 5-1988 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE CUMMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUND WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-1987 created a Cumulative Capital Development Fund pursuant to Public Law 44-1984; and WHEREAS, I.C. 8-22-3-25 allows the acquisition of real property and the construction, enlarging, improving, remodeling, repairing or equiping of buildings, structures, runways or other facilities for use in connection with the airport operated by the City of Richmond; WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE HE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purposes specified. Said sum being subject to the laws governing the same. AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED CUMMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUND $31,250 $31,250 These funds are to be appropriated for the following: AMOUNT APPROPRIATED 3000-Other Services and Charges $31,250 SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Mary Mefchantbuse City Clerk EXCERPTS THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session In the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City on February 16, 1988, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Councilmember Morris presided with the following members present: Councilmembers: Elstro, Williams, Brookbank, McBride, Parker, Hutton, and Faust Absent: Hankinson The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented Proof of Publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the date of February 5, 1988. Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the 16th day of February, 1988, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the year 1988 within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The Proof of Publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilmember Brookbank moved the Proof of Publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilmember Hutton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No, 5-1988. President Morris announced Ordinance No. 5-1988 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 5-1988 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro, Williams, Brookbank, McBride, Parker, Hutton, Paust and Morris. The project is being done by the engineering firm of Steve Williams and Associates. The project, which has a total cost of $625,Oo0 is to be funded in the following manner: $562,500. Federal Fund $ 31,250. State Fund $ 31.,2:50. Local Fund It is requested that the local portion of the funding be extracted from the Cumulative Capital Developement Fund in order to pay cost which have already accrued. Thank You Jay. A. At such hearing taxpayers objecting to any of such additional appropriations may be heard.
