AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING AND AUTHORIZING EXPENSES FOR OFF STREET
PARKING PROMOTIONS.
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond owns, maintains and operates certain off street parking
facilities in the downtown area for the convenience of its citizens, and;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Richmond, Indiana to adopt
an Ordinance under I.C. 36-1-3-6 for the continued authorization and approval
of expenditures for the promotion of off street parking facilities.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana
as follows:
SECTION 1. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana authorizes expenditures of
funds from the Off Street Parking Fund of the City to pay the expenses of or to
reimburse City officials as the case may be for expenses incurred in promoting
the best interest of the off street parking facilities. Such expenses may include,
but not necessarily be limited to, advertising costs, awards, decorations, contest
prizes and any other expenses of a promotional nature deemed by the Mayor or
the Manager of the Off Street Parking Fund to be in the best interest of the City
and its off street parking facilities.
SECTION 2. No expenses shall be incurred under this ordinance without prior authorization
of the Mayor or Off Street Parking Manager and all claims for such expenses
shall be approved and allowed in the regular manner before payment.
