Mr. Doherty called the meeting to order at 7:01 PM.
1.104 South Street - Sign Application - Citron Hygiene
Mike Wood presented the sign for Citron Hygiene.
Mr. Doherty confirmed this was only going onto the building. The sign will be
secured directly to the brick.
Ms. Fein-Brug was concerned with the sign getting lost in the brick. Mr. Wood said
that is caused by the picture.
Mr. Doherty asked about the size of the letters. Mr. Wood confirmed the size of the
sign as presented in the application.
Ms. Stoddard asked about the footnote about the colors possibly not being true.
Mr. Wood said that is due to the variance between monitors or other presentation
mediums.
Ms. Fein-Brug moved to approve as presented. Ms. Stoddard seconded the motion.
The Board voted unanimously to approve the sign as presented (4-0-0).
Ms. McNamara arrived at this time.
2.27 School Street - Sign Application - Christine Strickland Photography
Ms. Strickland presented the sign proposed.
Mr. Doherty asked about the zoning restrictions. JPG read the section allowing the
sign and confirmed that the sign would conform to zoning.
Ms. Fein-Brug asked about the post that the sign would be mounted to. The
applicant said the post would be galvanized black pipe and use brackets to hang the
wooden plaque about two feet above the mailbox.
Mr. Maze commented that the sign would fit nicely in that area. Mr. Maze
confirmed that the sign would be black and white. The Applicant confirmed the
colors. Ms. McNamara confirmed that the sign will not block the sightline.
Ms. Fein-Brug moved to approve the sign as presented. Ms. McNamara seconded
the motion. The Board voted unanimously to approve the sign as presented (5-0-0).
3.87 Elm Street - Sign Application - Stukel Group, LLC
Mr. Todaro presented the proposed sign. The sign is a small mounted aluminum
panel on the wall.
Ms. Fein-Brug said she saw the paint on the aluminum for the casing is peeling off
and asked the manager of the building to clean that up. Mr. Todaro said he will
mention this to the applicant but has limited ability to make this change.
Mr. Maze said the sign is hard to see due to the bush in the way. Mr. Todaro said
they have mentioned this to the landlord but has little authority to make this
change.
Ms. Fein-Brug moved to approve the sign as presented with the comment that the
landlord should paint the aluminum frame around the sign. Ms. McNamara
seconded the motion. The Board voted unanimously to approve the sign as
presented (5-0-0).
4.Minutes of September 15, 2020
Mr. Doherty asked for any comments on the minutes. None offered.
Ms. Fein-Brug moved to accept the minutes as written, Mr. Maze seconded the
motion. The Board voted to approve the minutes as written (4-0-1). Ms. McNamara
abstained.
The Board generally discussed the date for the next meeting. The next meeting is
scheduled for November 17, 2020.
Ms. Fein-Brug moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Maze seconded the motion. The
Board voted unanimously to adjourn (5-0-0). Meeting adjourned at 7:21 PM.
