RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CARTERET URBAN ENTERPRISE ZONE
ADVISORY BOARD TO REQUEST FUNDING FOR STREETS(JAPE
PROJECT
WHEREAS, thc Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") would like to revitalize
designated streets in the Urban Enterprise Zone to enhance the safety and provide a
pleasant shopping experience for shoppers that would provide business growth and
create possible job opportunities; and
WHEREAS, thc Borongh Mayor and Council has determincd that it would be
appropriate to utilize Urban Entcrprise Zone ("UEZ") funds to pay for said
revitalization; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Borough Mayor and Council do
hereby approvc that thc Cartcrct UEZ Advisory Board be authorized to request from
the New Jerscy UEZ Commission funds in the amount not to exceed $1,300,000.00
to be used for the Strcctscapc Project.
