AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.42-1987 RATIFYING THE SALARIES, WAGES, AND POSITIONS
FOR APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE RICHMOND SANITARY DISTRICT FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1988 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1988 AS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF
SANITARY COMMISSIONERS.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1-1988 was adopted by the Board of Sanitary Commissioners on February
23, 1968 and;
WHEREAS, it has now been determined by the Commissioners of the Richmond Sanitary district that
an increase in the personnel at the Solid Waste Department is now necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Richmond desires to ratify Resolution No. 1-1988 into
Ordinance No. 42-1987:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 1-1988 adopted by the Board of Commissioners for the Richmond
Sanitary District on February 23, 1988, is hereby adopted by reference, ratified,
and incorporated into this ordinance as supplementing the salary ordinance for the
Richmond Sanitary District being Ordinance No. 42-1987.

RESOLUTION NO. 1 - 1988
WHEREAS, a Resolution is required to amend Resolution No. 6 - 1987
adopted by the Board of Sanitary Commissioners of the Sanitary District of
Richmond, Indiana, on July 14, 1987 for the calendar year of 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Sanitary Commissioners of
the Sanitary District of Richmond, Indiana, that Resolution No. 6 - 1987 for
the calendar year of 1988, beginning January 1, 1988 and ending December 31,
1988, shall be amended as follows because of the following new positions:
Wastewater Treatment Plant
(1) Mechanic III Vehicles 18,408.00 (8.85)
Solid Waste
(1) Solid Waste Collection Foreman 22,000.00
(2) Solid Waste Route Supervisors (2) 17,763.20 (8.54)
(3) Container Maintenance Mechanic (2) 15,704.00 (7.55)
(4) Apprentice Landfill Operator 6.75 to 7.75/hour
