HomeMy Public PortalAbout019-1988-TRANSFER WITHIN THE GENERAL FUNDAN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WPTHIN THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, It has been determined that it is now necessary to transfer money within the fund appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana; SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the several appropriations, herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND Department of Planning, Permits & Inspection 1000-Personal Services $22,500.00 $22,500,00 SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts. AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED REDUCED GENERAL FUND Department of Planning, Permits & Inspection 3000-Other Services & Charges $22,500.00 $ 22,500.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana. Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk PUBLIC LAW 54 Ordinance No. 19-1988 (IIA) TRANSFER OF FUNDS CERTIFICATE I, the proper legal officer of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, hereby certify to the Auditor of Wayne County that the Common Council Transferred $22,500 From i (Major Budget Classification) To 1000-Personal Services (Major Budget Classification) Within General Fund -Plan Department (Department, Office or Fund) and that such transfer does not necessitate expenditures of more money than was set out in detail in the budget as finally approved by the State Board of Tax Commissioners. This transfer was made at a regular public meeting according to proper ordinance, a copy of which is attached to this certificate. Ordinance #75-1987 which was passed by Council in December. The Amendment added one staff person in the Department of Finance and two additional in the Department of Planning, Permits and Inspections. We are also at this time asking for funding of the Human Rights Commission Office as established in Ordinance #45-86. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City on April 4, 1988, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Councilmember Morris presided with the following members present: Councilmembers: Elstro, Williams, Brookbank, McBride, Parker, Hutton, and Paust Absent: Hankinson The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented Proof of Publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the date of 1988. Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the day of , 198s, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the year 1988 within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The Proof of Publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilmember moved the Proof of Publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilmember and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 19-1988. President Morris announced Ordinance No. 19-1988 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 19-1988 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro, Williams, Brookbank, McBride, Parker, Hutton, Paust and Morris. Nays: None Absent: Hankinson The vote being 8 to 0 in favor of the passage of Ordinance No. 19-1988.
