AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE RICHMOND SANITARY
DISTRICT TO DECLARE A DROUGHT EMERGENCY AND TO AUTHORIZE ADDITIONAL CREDITS
DURING SUCH EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS; the Richmond area has suffered unusual dry weather; and,
WHEREAS; additional sprinkling has been required during this dry season;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana
that the Richmond Sanitary District be allowed to declare, upon proper findings of unusual dry
weather, that an emergency exists, and to allow such additional credits as the Board of Sanitary
Commissioners may, in its discretion, find justified during this year and/or other following
years.
