ORDINANCE NO, 78 -470
AN ORDINANCE:OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AMENDING
SECTION 7148 OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL-CODE
RELATING TO WALLS AND FENCES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Section 7148 of the Temple City Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 7148, Permit Required. Exceptions.
No person shall build, erect, construct, enlarge,
relocate , or structurally alter any fence, yard wall,
or retaining wall over three feet in height of masonry
construction or over six feet in height of any material
other than masonry construction in the City, or cause
or direct such work, without first having obtained there-
for a permit from the Building Department. Such permit,
however, shall not be required with regard to a non -
retaining fence or yard wall constructed entirely within
residentially zoned lots.
SECTION 2, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be processed in the
manner prescribed by law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of December, 1978.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 78 -470,
was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Temple City, held on the 21st day of November, 1978, and was duly
passed, approved and-adopted-by said Council, approved and signed by
the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular meeting held on
the 5th day of December, 1978,-by the following vote:
AXES: Councilmen- Dennis, Gillanders, Merritt
NOES: Councilmen- Atkins, Tyrell
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
