AN ORDINANCE -OF. THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING ARTICLE II, ,CHAPTER 5 OF THE TEMPLE
CITY MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION t. The City Council hereby amends Section 2506
of the Temple City Municipal Code to read as follows:
Sec. 2506, .Bidding.
Purchases of supplies, services, equipment and the sale of
.personal property - shall be by bid procedures pursuant to
Sections 25.09 and 2510. Bidding shall be dispensed with
only when an emergency.re.quir.es that an. order be placed
with the nearest-available source of supply, when the
amount.involved is less than $.500 or when the commodity
can be obtained-from-only one vendor.
SECTION .2. The City Council hereby amends - Section 2510
of the .Temple City Municipal. Code to read as follows :
Sec.. 2510.
Purchases of supplies, equipment, contractual services
and sales of personal property of an estimated value in
the amount of $500 to $5,000 may be made by the Purchasing
Officer in the open market without observing the procedure
prescribed in Section 2509.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and shall cause it to be published as required by law.
