A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA AMENDING
THE AGREEMENT FOR THE KILKENNY GROUP TO PROVIDE
COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTING SERVICES TO MANAGE
BROADCAST MEDIA INTERACTIONS AND OTHER PUBLIC
RELATIONS MATTERS FOR THE CITY OF LYNWOOD FOR THE
PERIOD JULY 1, 2020 - JUNE 30, 2021, AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED
$125,000
WHEREAS, the Kilkenny Group (hereinafter the "Consultant') has successfully
provided Public Relations related services for the City since February 2018; and
WHEREAS, the First Amendment was made to the agreement on July 3, 2018
and expired on June 30, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Second Amendment was made to the agreement on July 16,
2019; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager deems it necessary to retain these services due to
many intensive media related matters and because of the influx in Public Relations
needs.; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Consultant wish to extend the term of the
Consulting Services Agreement for the period July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 ("Third
Amendment'), at an annual rate of $125,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood herby authorizes and approves a
Third Amendment with the Kilkenny Group to provide communications consulting
services to manage broadcast media interactions and other public relations matters in
an amount not to exceed $125,000 for the period of July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022, in a
form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby authorizes the Mayor, or
her designee, to take necessary steps, including the execution of agreements and other
related documents with the Kikenny Group as needed to undertake the implementation
of all related services under the attached Exhibit A.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and hereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
