RESOLUTION NO. 2020.145
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND
PROJECT BUDGET FOR THE SKATE PARK -PUMP TRACK PROJECT
AT BURKE-HAM PARK
WHEREAS, in September of 2019, the Lynwood City Council adopted Resolution
#2019.117 that provides funding for park improvements within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood wishes to address the unmet community demand
for skate facilities in its community by constructing a new skate park -pump track at Burke -
Ham Park; and
WHEREAS, the estimated project cost is $894,000; and
WHEREAS, Lynwood's demographics, trends, and recreational interests have led
to skateboarding, skating and biking becoming popular activities for its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council for the City of Lynwood finds and declares that the forgoing
recitals are true and correct, and incorporates said recitals fully into this Resolution as
substantive findings.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood finds that the development and
construction of a new skate park -pump track facility at Burke -Ham Park meets a
substantial community demand.
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby authorizes the Acting City
Manager to approve agreements, amendments, modifications, or contract change orders
to consultants, vendors, or contractors' agreements or contracts up to the available
Project Budget amount pursuant to the Acting City Manager's authority.
Section 4. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby directs the Department of
Finance and Administration Services to take the necessary steps to adjust the FY 2020-
21 budget to reflect the authorized appropriation as follows:

Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and hereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
