AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE BY ADDING SECTION 74.36 (E) AS IT CONCERNS THE
PARKING OF SCHOOL BUSES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that the Richmond
City Code be amended by adding section 74.36 (E) to provide as follows:
(E) Notwithstanding Section 74.26 of the City Code, an operator of a regularly designated
school bus in service for any public or private school located within the City of Richmond may,
where off street parking is unavailable to accomodate a school bus, park such school bus on city
streets, in such a manner so as not to create a traffic hazard, between the hours of 8:00 am and
3:30 pm, Monday through Friday of the regular school year and such days as there may be
officially sanctioned school activities. The bus must be parked in an area where parking is
normally allowed and nor restricted.
