Home My Public Portal About066-1988- ORDINANCE TO ANNEX THE CITY CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY ADJACENT AND ABUTTINGBOOK 10P E SPECIAL ORDINANCE NO. 66-1988 AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY, ADJACENT AND ABUTTING THERETO, DESCRIBING THE SAME, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION THEREOF, AND FIXING THE TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT. WHEREAS, Plastics Machinery Technology, Inc. an Indiana Corporation, owner of one hundred percent (100%) of a certain parcel of land, all being within the hereinafter described area, have petitioned the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana for the voluntary annexation of said hereafter described area, as set out, and in accordance with I.C. 36-4-3-5; and, WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary of the City of Richmond, Indiana. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana: SECTION 1. That the following described territory, adjacent and contiguous to the corporate boundaries of the City of Richmond, be annexed to and hereby is declared to be a part of the said City of Richmond, Indiana, said territory being located in Wayne Township, Wayne County, State of Indiana, and more particularly described as follows, to -wit: Being a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 1, Township 13 North, Range 1 West in Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a Copperweld found at the northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 1, and running thence, from said beginning point, south 0 degrees, 52 minutes and 27 seconds west, along the east line of said Southwest Quarter, 400.00 feet to an iron rod set; thence north 89 degrees, 45 minutes and 55 seconds west, parallel to the north line of said Southwest Quarter, 450.00 feet to an iron rod set; thence north 0 degrees, 52 minutes and 27 seconds east, parallel to the east line of said Southwest Quarter; thence south 89 degrees, 45 minutes and 55 seconds east, along said north line, 450.00 feet to the place of beginning, containing an area of 4.132 acres. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by Common Council and approval by the Mayor and the publication hereof as required by law. My"Commission expires: 000262 WAYNE C.OiI ' ' RECQRHR '89 JAN 12 PM 3 42 BOOK 16 E 3 PETITION FOR ANNEXATION Plastics Machinery Technology, Inc., an Indiana Corporation, hereby petitions the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, for the voluntary annexation of certain real estate presently situated outside and adjacent to the corporate boundaries of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: (1) The real estate consists of a total of four and one hundred thirty-two thousandths (4.132) acres and is adjacent to the corporated boundaries of the said City of Richmond, Indiana.
