HomeMy Public PortalAbout028-1997 - Rezoning - 725 Progress DrORDINANCE NO. 28-1997 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED IMMEDIATELY EAST OF AND ADJACENT TO 725 PROGRESS DRIVE WHEREAS the zoning map designates real estate located in the 700 block of Progress Drive as M-2 General Industrial District; and WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation to M-2 Special Use for a Union Hall. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the zoning designation of the real estate located immediately east of and adjacent to 725 Progress Drive, which is more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby changed to M-2 Special Use for a Union Hall to serve the United Steelworkers of America, Local 4039. Notices were delivered to five surrounding property owners, with no comments returned to this office. The Plan Commission voted 7 in favor, with 4 absent, to recommend the passage of Ordinance No. 28-1997 subject to a landscaping plan and a drainage plan being approved prior to issuance of building permits.
