AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
SALE OF BOROUGH PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough") is in need of
specialized legal services with regard to the sale of and related title issues
applicable to various parcels of Borough owned property; and
WHEREAS, Robert J. Bergen, Esq. of the law firm Gill &Chamas, LLC,
P.O. Box 760, 655 Florida Grove Road, Woodbridge, NJ, possesses the requisite
experience and expertise to provide said legal services; and
WHEREAS, Robert J. Bergen, Esq. has proposed to perform said services
at a maximum cost not to exceed $10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are
available for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council
of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. Robert J. Bergen, Esq. of the law firm Gill &Chamas, LLC
is hereby authorized to perform any and all legal services required
with regard to the sale of various parcels of Borough owned
property.
2. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough
Purchasing Department and Robert J. Bergen, Esq.
2. This award is made as a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A: 11-5(1)(a).
Adopted this 7th day of November, 2002
and cerlqfSed as a true copy of the
original on November 8, 2002.
