RESOLUTION NO. 518-20
A RESOLUTION QI? THE CITY O:F RICHLAND HILLS,
TEXAS ADOPTING THE TARRANT COUNTY HAZARD
MITIGATION ACTION PLAN, JANUARY 2020
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills recognizes the threat that natural
hazards pose to people and property within Tarrant County: and
WHEREAS, the County of Tarnmt has prepared a multi-hazard mitigation plan, hereby known
as Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020 in accordance with the
Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020 identifies
mitigation goals and actions to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property in
the City of Richland Hills from the impacts of future hazards and disasters: and
WHEREAS, adoption by the City Council of the City of Richland Hills demonstrates their
commitment to the hazard mitigation and achieving the goals outlined in the Tarrant County
Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020.
NOWTHEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CTfYffiUNCILOFTHECITY OF RICHLANn
HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. In accordance with City Charter, the City Council of the City of Richland
Hills adopts the Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020.
ADOPTED by a vote of 5 in favor and O against, and O abstaining, this 13 th day of January,
2020.
