AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ADDING
SECTION 7131 TO THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE
ADDING NEW SECTION 3200 TO THE 'UNIFORM BUILDING
CODE RELATING TO ROOFS AND RE- ROOFING BY OWNERS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. A new Section 7131 reading as follows is hereby
added to the Temple City Municipal Code to add new Section 3200
I to the Uniform Building Code as adopted by Article VII of the
Temple City Municipal Code.
Section 7131. Section 3200, reading as follows is
hereby added to the Building Code.
Section 3200. Exemption
Permit provisions of this Chapter shall
not apply to the re- roofing, maintenance, or repair
of any roof on any single family dwelling, where the
work is done by the owner of such building, and
material consists of either composition or wood
shingles, The Building Department shall not be
responsible to make any inspection in connection
therewith.
SECTION 2. 'The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be processed in the
manner prescribed by law,
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of December, 1979.

I, Chief Deputy City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance
No. 79 -488, was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Temple City, held on the 20th day of November, 1979,
and was duly passed, approved and adopted by the said Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at
a regular meeting held on the 4th day of December, 1979, by the
following vote:
