AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF 127th STREET AND
EAST OF ROUTE 59, PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS

WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is contiguous to the Village of
Plainfield and is not within the territorial limits of any other municipality; and
WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is surrounded by the Village of
Plainfield; and
WHEREAS, notices as required by statute have been served to all public bodies
required to receive such notice; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of Plainfield that said territory be
annexed to the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL AND KENDALL COUNTIES as
follows:
Sec. 1: Territory Described. That the following described tract of land herein called
territory, is hereby annexed to the Village of Plainfield:
See Exhibit "A" Which Is Attached Hereto and Made A Part Hereof
Sec. 2: Village Limits Extended. That the Village limits of the Village of Plainfield
be, and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory.
Sec. 3: Ordinance No. 1 Amended. That Ordinance No. 1 of the Village of
Plainfield be amended as follows:
That the limits of the Village of Plainfield shall be extended to include the tract of
land described in Section 1 hereof.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same are
hereby repealed.
This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No. 3024 and shall take effect
upon its passage and approval in accordance with the provisions of the Statutes of
the State of Illinois in such case made and provided and the Village Clerks shall
certify two copies of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of the annexed
territory and file same in the Offices of Will and Kendall County Clerk.
