Yxecutive Session, Thursday, April 4, 1996, 5:110 p.m.. City Hail
the Greencastle Common Council met in Executive Session on Thursday, April 4, 1996, at 5 00
p.m. at Citr Hail to interview candidates interested in the Council School Board Appoinn»ent.
Manor Michael called the meeting to order. On the Roll Call, the following were found to be
present: Councilor Roach. Councilor Flammer, Councilor Green, COnne Baynard and
Coupcilor Masten. Attornev John einer was not present.
The Council reviewed .applications and discussed possibic question's to ask applicants. At 5 3
p.ln. the Council started interviews with the i ilowinEcandidates: (jan_' 'Myers, Wuliarn
NewLent, Jecf NleCail. Randy Jones and Barbara lV. Bryan. Ouesrions were asked of each
candidtate regarding the Vocational School. separation of Church and State, Sex Education in
the schools and 'now it should be handled, why are you interested in serving on the School Board
and if money were no object- what would be the one thing you would do for Greencastle
Community Schools.
Once interviews were complete, the Council discussed each candidate and then voted by secret
ballot to narrow the candidates to two to take to the April 9, 1996 regular Council meeting. The
two remaimm- candidates are William Newuent and Jeff McCall,
Being no - further business it motion to adjourn was made by Councilor Mammer, seeonded by
Councilor Green. Vote was unanimous.
