A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
AN APPROPRIATION FROM UNAPPROPRIATED PROPOSITION A
FUND FOR BUS SHELTERS MAINTENANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF

WHEREAS, On February 16, 2016, the City Council selected a bus shelter design
and authorized staff to purchase the bus shelters from Tolar Manufacturing; and
WHEREAS, the City is responsible for maintaining seventy (70) bus stops, which
have shelters, bus benches, and trash can receptacles; and
WHEREAS, continued maintenance of the bus shelters is needed; and
WHEREAS, replacement of missing/damaged trash can receptacles, bus trash
can liners, and bus shelter benches is needed; and
WHEREAS, vehicle purchase, power washing equipment and material are also
needed to maintain the bus shelters and bus stops; and
WHEREAS, the Street Division is requesting the purchase of Powrliner to
efficiently and effectively apply deteriorated road stripping applications on-street lanes;
and
WHEREAS, to move forward with this Project, appropriation is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council approves the following appropriation:

Section 2. The City Council approves the purchase of the bus shelter benches and
receptacles from Toler Manufacturing, if similar fixtures cannot be located, as sole source
pursuant to the exception from competitive bidding when supplies, equipment, services
or contract could be obtained from only one source under Lynwood Municipal Code
Section 6-3.13(a)(2).
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and hereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
