President Lopez Called to Order—Time 6:00 p.m.
1. Approval of Minutes of the August 12, 2019 Meeting.
Motion: Motion was made by Director Goveas and seconded by Director Campbell
to approve.
Motion carried by a vote of 5-0.
2. Consider approval of a contract with HDL Companies for sale and use tax
consulting services.
Candice Edmondson, City Manager gave an overview of the CCPD and presented a
contact with HDL Companies for sale and use tax consulting services.
The City of Richland Hills has an existing contract with HDL Companies for sales and use
tax consulting services. Per the contract, HDL Companies assists the City with collection,
reporting and analysis of sales and use tax. HDL also assists in the research and
collection of missing tax and ensures new businesses are reporting sales and use tax
collections to the appropriate jurisdiction.
The current contract with HDL Companies is specific to the sales and use tax collected
by the City of Richland Hills. A separate contract is required for taxes collected by the
Crime Control Prevention District and requires CCPD Board approval.
Motion: Motion was made by Director Goveas and seconded by Director Barger to
approve.
Motion carried by a vote of 5-0.
3. Adjourn.
A motion was made by Director Bergthold and seconded by Director Campbell to adjourn.
Motion passed 5-0.
