MAC CARTNEy SUPERINTYNPENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION T0: Common Council FROM: Nancy MacCartney, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation WA SUBJECT: Transfer from Park Fund Balance DATE: January 16, 1987 Last May the Municipal Swimming Pool filtration system deteriorated to the point of almost having to close the pool. Through a temporary "miracle" we were able to patch the filtration tanks to get us through the swim season. The Park Board requested that the staff secure funds to purchase a new filtration system. We implemented an austerity program to save the money by reducing expenditures from the park general fund budget. An attached sheet outlines that austerity program. We are requesting that $135,000.00 be transferred from the fund balance to the Repair of Buildings and Structures account.
