Home My Public Portal About006-1987- ORDINANCE RATIFYING CERTAIN ADDENDA BETWEEN AMALGAMATED TRANSIT UNION LOCAL 1474ORDINANCE NO. 6-1987 AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING CERTAIN ADDENDA, BEING ADDENDA NUMBERS SIX AND SEVEN TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN AMALGAMATED TRANSIT UNION LOCAL 1474, REPRESENTING THE BUS DRIVERS OF ROSE VIEW TRANSIT, AND THE CITY OF RICHMOND WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety through its representatives has negotiated with representatives of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1474, representing bus drivers of Rose View Transit, and in said negotiations have agreed on certain wage rates and terms and conditions of employment as embodied in Addenda Numbers Six and Seven to the Agreement between said Union and the City of Richmond entered into on the 25th day of February, 1982; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana has the power to ratify such wage rates and addenda to the Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1474 have set their hands and seals to Addendum No. Six on the loth day of April, 1986; and to Addendum No. Seven on the 14th day of August, 1986; and WHEREAS, such Addenda have been approved by Mayor Frank H. Waltermann; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, desires to ratify such Addenda to the Agreement and to incorporate such Addenda into this ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that: SECTION I. Addenda Numbers Six and Seven to the Agreement entered into by the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1474 and the City of Richmond are hereby ratified and incorporated into this ordinance. These Addenda were adopted by the Board of Works at various times during 1986. Addendum No. Six .provides for the City's ability to hire certain temporary part-time employees, and was effective with its execution April 10, 1986. Addendum No. Seven provides rates of pay, per hour, for drivers for both 1987 and 1988. The raise for 1987 will be $.22 per hour, or an average 3%; while that for 1988 will be $.30 per hour, or 4%. The City's negotiations were handled by Ralph Willis and Janet Sams, Public Transit Manager. Thank you.
