1) DRINKALL FARM CONCEPT PLAN
The contract purchaser of the property at 12464 Heggs Road is seeking input from the Village
Board on a concept plan for proposed uses of the property prior to seeking annexation into the
Village and purchase of the property. The applicants propose to use the farm and centennial barn,
located on the west side of Heggs Road north of 127th Street, as a special event venue as well as a
seasonal produce farmstand with produce grown on site.
2) STRATEGIC PLAN STUDIES
Pursuant to direction from the Strategic Plan, staff has requested proposals for two studies related
to strategic planning initiatives. Staff has invited the consultant to present an overview of the
studies for review and input by the Village Board and staff prior to initiating the projects, which
include:
a) Van Dyke Road Site – Market Feasibility and Site Assessment
This study will analyze viability and demand for potential uses of the Village-
owned property east of Van Dyke Road and south of 143rd Street, including
recommendations of potential land uses and conceptual land plans.
b) Comprehensive Housing Study
This study includes a detailed analysis of Plainfield’s existing housing inventory
and regional housing and economic trends to formulate recommendations of
potential housing needs for the Village of Plainfield for the upcoming Strategic
Plan horizon.
