ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Time and Place of Opening of Bids:
Sealed proposals for the improvement described below will be received at the office of the Village Clerk
of Plainfield, 24401 W. Lockport Street, Plainfield, Illinois 60544 until 10:00 A.M. August 16, 2016.
Description of Work:
2016 MFT Street Improvement Program. 135th Street (Naperville Road to Wood Duck Drive), Fraser
Road (Fort Beggs Bike Trail to IL 59), and Heggs Road (135th Street to 127th Street) in the Village of
Plainfield. Proposed work includes hot‐mix asphalt surface removal (44,580 sq. yds.); class D patches
(4,458 sq. yds.); Portland cement concrete sidewalk (5,500 sq. ft.); hot‐mix asphalt surface course (3,746
tons); polymerized leveling binder (1,925 tons); speed table installation (6 each); concrete curb and
gutter (2,700 ft.); pavement markings (47,000 ft.); structure adjustments; storm structure installation (3
each); and other miscellaneous items of work.

Plans and proposal forms will be available to prospective bidders by contacting Baxter & Woodman
(815) 459‐1260 (contact – Luke Foresman) for access information to BHFX where paper documents can
be obtained upon payment of $100.00 (non‐refundable) or downloaded from their website
(www.bhfx.net) of $50.00 (non‐refundable). The Contractor is required to be IDOT prequalified to bid on
this project.
