A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AT 400
NORTH LOTH STREET AND 90 ELM PLACE
WHEREAS the zoning map designates real estate located at 400 North
IOth Street and 90 Elm Place as M-1 Light Industrial District,
and
WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation to C-2 Commercial
District.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the zoning designation of the real estate located at 400 North 1 Oth Street and
90 Elm Place is hereby designated QZ`E�mmercial District.
Passed and adopted this __ day 1997, by the Common Council
of the City of Richmond, Indiana.

Dear Mr. Dickman:
Please advise the members of Common Council that the Richmond Advisory Plan
Commission conducted a public hearing, Thursday, May 22, 1997, on the petition of
Adam H. Bartel Co., Inc., owner; Donald L. Simkin, agent; requesting a rezoning
from M-1 Light Industrial District to C-2 Commercial District, located at 400 North
10th Street and 90 Elm Place, Richmond, Indiana.
Notices were delivered to seven surrounding property owners, and we received two
comments in support of the request.
The Plan Commission voted 8 in favor, with none opposed, and 3 absent, to
recommend the approval of Ordinance No. 48-1997.

This ordinance relates to amending the zoning map at 400 North loth Street and 90 Elm Place as M-
1 Light Industrial District to C-2 Commercial District.
The ordinance should be referred to Plan Commision for public hearing at its meeting on May 22,
1997.
The ordinance should be back to Council for second reading on June 2, 1997.
