A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AT 2203
EAST MAIN STREET
WHEREAS the zoning map designates real estate at 2203 East Main Street
as R-3 for apartments, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation to R-3 Special
Use for a law and business office.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the zoning designation of the real estate at 2203 East Main Street, is hereby
changed to R-3 Special Use for a la�v anousiness office.

Dear Mr. Dickman:
Please advise the members of Common Council that the Richmond Advisory Plan
Commission conducted a public hearing, Thursday, May 22, 1997, on the petition of
William A. Glass, owner; Charles R. Hyde, Jr., agent; requesting a Special Use
District classification in the the R-3 One to Eight Family Residence District for a Law
and Business Office, located at 2203 East Main Street, Richmond, Indiana.
Notices were delivered to four surrounding property owners, with no comments
returned to this office.
The Plan Commission voted 8 in favor, with 3 absent, to recommend the passage of
Ordinance No. 49-1997.

This ordinance relates to amending the zoning map at 2203 East Main Street as R-3 for apartments
to R-3 Special Use for a law and business office.
The ordinance should be referred to Plan Commision for public hearing at its meeting on May 22,
1997.
The ordinance should be back to Council for second reading on June 2, 1997.
