A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE,
FLORIDA; SUPPORTING PROPOSAL 40 OF THE
CONSTITUTION REFORM COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING
LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN
THEIR OWN LOCAL SCHOOL BOARDS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the children of the Village of Key Biscayne are our future; and
WHEREAS, Education is our most important legacy to the future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Village of Key Biscayne supports Proposal 40 of the Constitution Reform
Committee authorizing local municipalities to create and maintain their own local school boards.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
