A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE IMPERIAL HIGHWAY COMPLETE STREET STUDY
IMPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN GATEWAY
CITIES COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS AND CITY OF LYNWOOD AND
APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
PROPOSITION C FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,960.68
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2021, the Gateway Cities Council of Governments
Board of Directors approved the Implementation Agreement for the Imperial Highway
Complete Street Study (Project); and
WHEREAS, the Project scope is to develop a subregional Complete Street
master plan for Imperial. Highway, which is a high priority high quality transit arterial
within the Gateway Cities; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the Project is $219,600 of which $10,960.68 is to be
paid by the City; and
WHEREAS, the Project limit for the entire Project will traverse across several
jurisdictions along Imperial Highway from 2,600' West of SR-39 in La Mirada/Los
Angeles County Unincorporated Area to Alameda Street in Lynwood); and
WHEREAS, the Project,limit within Lynwood is along Imperial Highway from 180'
East of Atlantic Avenue to Alameda Street; and
WHEREAS, eventually participating cities can use the developed plan to put the
corridor in line for construction funding opportunities that individual cities or consortium
of cities along the corridor could pursue.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the Imperial
Highway Complete Street Study Implementation Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit
A.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the following appropriation:
