AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE RICHMOND
POLICE DEPARTMENT TO APPLY FOR, ACCEPT, AND APPROPRIATE A
BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT
WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department is eligible to apply for Bureau of Justice
Assistance Grant funds in the amount of Twenty-three Thousand One
Hundred Eighty-six Dollars ($23,186.00) from the United States
Department of Justice; and
WHEREAS, said grant funds are desired for the purchase of in -car video equipment;
and
WHEREAS, said grant funds would require a local match of Two Thousand Five
Hundred Seventy-three Dollars ($2,573.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana as follows:
1. The Richmond Police Department is authorized to apply for and accept the
aforementioned grant in the amount of Twenty-three Thousand One Hundred Eighty-six
Dollars ($23,186.00) from the United States Department of Justice.
2. Said grant funds shall be appropriated for the purchase of in -car video
equipment.
3. Local matching funds in the amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-
three Dollars ($2,573.00) will be appropriated from the general fund (101-02-0101-1001-
3-3975) for the purchase of the in -car video equipment.

the City of Richmond, Indiana.
