AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
RICHMOND TO RECEIVE DONATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting
donations for a specific purpose; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the
appropriation of such property for the intended purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Richmond, Indiana
is sponsoring a 5K Sizzlin' Summer Run to be held in the City of
Richmond on July 19, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation desires to solicit donations from
area businesses and residents to sponsor said event.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, that the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of
Richmond, Indiana is hereby authorized to accept donations for the 5K Sizzlin' Summer
Run to be held on July 19, 1997, and that said donations shall be appropriated to account
no. 850-99-001-9967 (5K Summer R Donations).
