A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY FOR
FACILITY PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS,the City of Riverdale(hereinafter"the City")intends to establish a preventative role in
maintaining City owned property.
WHEREAS, as part of the preventative maintenance plan the City wishes to adopt procedures that include
developing a routine and standardized schedule for certain tasks which includes the frequency of
inspections and the items to be inspected.
WHEREAS,regular inspections and test results will be documented allowing the City to project major
repairs and/or replacements for City owned property.
WHEREAS, maintenance documentation is to be used to assist in the planning, budgeting and preparing
for Capital Improvement Projects.
WHEREAS, a copy of the Facility Preventive Maintenance Policy will be placed in the Administrative
Policy Handbook and in the Maintenance Person's Employee Handbook.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA ADOPTS A
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE POLICY PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 16
September 2014.
