VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 12, 2016
AT: VILLAGE HALL—COMMUNITY ROOM
BOARD PRESENT: M.COLLINS, M.BONUCHI, B.LAMB, E.O'ROURKE, AND
J.RACICH,. BOARD ABSENT: G.PECK, AND B.WOJOWSKI. OTHERS PRESENT:
B.MURPHY, ADMINISTRATOR; M.GIBAS, VILLAGE CLERK; A.PERSONS, PUBLIC
WORKS DIRECTOR; AMY DE BONI, COMMUNITY RELATIONS DIRECTOR; D.KISSEL,
WASTEWATER SUPERINTENDENT; J.PROULX, PLANNING DIRECTOR; K.GOSKA,
BUILDING OFFICIAL; AND J.KONOPEK, CHIEF OF POLICE.
CALL TO ORDER,ROLL CALL, PLEDGE
Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken, Trustee Peck and
Trustee Wojowski were absent; all other Trustees were present. Mayor Collins led the pledge to
the flag. There were approximately 3 persons in the audience.
PUBLIC COMMENTS (3 —5 Minutes)
Mr. Robert Ziller expressed concern regarding the new pedestrian bridge and how it may affect
the flood zone.
BUSINESS MEETING
1) APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Trustee Bonuchi moved to approve the Agenda. Second by Trustee Lamb. Vote by roll call.
Bonuchi, yes; Lamb, yes; O'Rourke, yes; Peck, absent; Racich, yes; Wojowski, absent. 4 yes,
0 no, 2 absent. Motion carried.
2) 2016 MIDWEST BREWER'S FEST
Trustee O'Rourke moved to approve the 2016 Midwest Brewer's Fest to be held on Saturday,
October 8, 2016 as identified in the staff report. Second by Trustee Racich.
There was some general discussion regarding the pedestrian bridge, donation to the Riverfront
Foundation, ticket sales, and reimbursement for security.
Vote by roll call. Bonuchi, yes; Lamb, yes; O'Rourke, yes; Peck, absent; Racich, yes;
Wojowski, absent. 4 yes, 0 no, 2 absent. Motion carried
Trustee Lamb moved to adjourn. Seconded by Trustee Racich. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0
Opposed.
The meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
