HomeMy Public PortalAbout018-1987- APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUNDAPPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO, 18-1987 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND WHEREAS, The State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1972, Title 1 of Public Law 95 -512 was approved October 20, 1972. WHEREAS, Section 51.04 of Part 51, Chapter 1, Subtitle B, Title B, Title 31 of the Code of Federal regulations provides as follows: (c) Provide for the expenditure of entitlement funds in accordance with the laws and procedures applicable to the expenditure of its own revenues. WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund for certain ordinary and/or necessary maintenance and operating and certain ordinary and/or necessary capital expenditures, said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. _AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND $ 95,500 $95 ,500 These funds are to be appropriated for the following: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED MAYOR'S OFFICE - 4000-Capital Outlays $ 95 ,500 $ 95,500 SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Mary Mei hanth use City Clerk EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City on May 4, 1987, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Councilmember Brookbank presided with the following members present: Councilmembers: Elstro, Hankinson,Whitesell, Parker, Hutton, Morris and Theobald. Absent: Williams The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented Proof of Publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the date of April 24, 1987. Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the 4th day of May, 1987, by the Common Councit to consider additional appropriations as provided for in Ordinance No. 18 -1987, within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The Proof of Publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilmember Parker moved the Proof of Publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilmember Whitesell, and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 18-1987. President Brookbank announced Ordinance No. 18-1987 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 18-1987 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro, Hankinson, Whitesell, Parker, Hutton, Morris, Theobald and Brookbank Nays: None Absent: Williams The vote being 8 to o in favor of the passage of Ordinance No. 18-1987. Brookbank President of Common Council REVENUE SHARING PUBLIC HEARING[ A budget hearing will be held on May 4, 1987 at 7:30 p.m, for all interested citizens of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana.
