HomeMy Public PortalAbout028-1987- TRANSFER WITHIN THE GENERAL FUNDAN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, It has been determined that it is now necessary to transfer money within the fund appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana; SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the several appropriations, herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED GENERAL, FUND Board of Works 1000-Personal Services $5,000.00 $5,000.00 SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts. AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED REDUCED GENERAL FUND Board of Works 3000-Other Services & Charges $5,000.00 $5,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana. INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City on June 1, 1987, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Councilmember Brookbank presided with the following members present: Councilmembers: Elstro, Williams, Hankinson,Whitesell, Parker, Hutton, Morris and Theobald. Absent: None The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented Proof of Publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the date of N/A 1987. Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the _day of , 1987, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations as provided for in Ordinance No. _ -1987, within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The Proof of Publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilmember _ moved the Proof of Publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilmember. and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 28-1987. President Brookbank announced Ordinance No. 28-1987 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 28-1987 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro, Williams, Hankinson, Whitesell, Parker, Hutton, Morris, Theobald and Brookbank Nays: None The vote being 9 to o in favor of the passage of Ordinance No. 28-1987. MacCartney, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation t' SUBJECT: Mowing Non -Park City Property DATE: June 9, 1986 cc: John Breese, Junior Kirkman, Tim Uhte As per our conversation of last week the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department is agreeable to working out a system for mowing non-park,,city property. The following are the conditions as outlined at that meeting: 1. Mr. Dan Dooley will provide the Park Department a list of city owned property and estimated acreage that need to be mowed on a regular basis. We will also provide on an as needed basis other locations with the understanding that it may take a few days to schedule these sites into the system. 2. Park Department personnel, whom we fully train to operate the mowers, vehicles and trailers, will be scheduled on a volunteer basis to mow after work hours on weekdays and anytime on weekends. Mr. Tim Uhte will be responsible for the selection, scheduling and supervision of these employees. 3. Locations will be classified for mowing along the same lines as park property with high use, high visibility areas being mowed more frequently than low use, low visibility areas. 4. Mr. Tim Uhte will inspect all sites before scheduling staff to determine if park mowing equipment is suitable for mowing a particular site. If not, he will contact Mr. Dan Dooley and remove that site fro■ the schedule. 5. No personnel will be allowed on this special mowing crew if they abuse the estimated time allowed to mow a particular site.
