HomeMy Public PortalAbout042-1987- ORDINANCE SETTING SALARIES WAGES AND POSITIONS FOR APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE SANITARY DISTRICTAMENDED RDINA 42-1987 AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE SALARIES, WAGES AND POSITIONS FOR APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE RICHMOND SANITARY DISTRICT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1988 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1988, AS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF SANITARY COMMISSIONERS AND AMENDED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL UPON RECOMMENDATION OF THE MAYOR. WHEREAS, Indiana Code, I.C. 36-9-25-10 authorizes the Richmond Board of Sanitary Commissioners to set the positions, salaries and wages of its officers and employees; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Sanitary Commissioners recommended the positions, salaries and wages of its officers and employees be set, pursuant to its Resolution No. 6- 1987, adopted July 14, 1987; and WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana made certain recommendations to the Common Council to amend various salaries as set forth in Resolution No. 6-1987 as adopted by the Board of Sanitary Commissioners, which amendments are set forth in Section I of Amended Ordinance No. 42-1987; and, WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Richmond desires to ratify the positions, wages and salaries of the Sanitary District and to adopt the recommendations of the Mayor to amend certain salaries as set forth in Resolution No. 6-1987 and to incorporate Resolution No. 6-1987 of the Richmond Board of Sanitary Commissioners and the appropriate amendments into the salary ordinance for the City of Richmond, Ordinance No. 37-1987, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, that: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 6-1987, adopted by the Board of Commissioners for the Richmond Sanitary District on July 14, 1987, and the recomended amendments as set out below are hereby adopted and incorporated into this Ordinance as supplementing the salary ordinance for other City of Richmond officers and employees, being Ordinance No. 37-1987. Administrative Payroll Clerk 13,835. Word Processor Operator 13,088. Receptionist 13,088. SECTION 2. Resolution No. 6-1987 of the Board of Sanitary Commissioners assigns the following salaries to the following City officials: CITY ATTORNEY 13,700.00 CITY CONTROLLER 8,160.00 DEPUTY CONTROLLER 4,388.00 PAYROLLMANAGER 3,212.00 DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES 6,166.00 PURCHASING DIRECTOR 10,540.00 PURCHASINGICONTROLLER COORDINATOR 4,685.00 DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS 24,500.00 COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTSMAN 8,500.00 LEGAL SECRETARY 1,500.00 JR. ACCOUNTANT/COMPUTER OPERATOR 2,800.00 Such allocation has been provided for in Ordinance No. 37-1987 and are included here for illustrative purposes only, and are not intended as additional compensation beyond the total salaries established for those positions in Ordinance No. 37-1987. SECTION 3. Amended Ordinance No. 42-1987 shall be forwarded to the Richmond Board of Sanitary Commissioners.
