AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING
ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 110 EAST MAIN STREET FROM M-1 LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO M-1 SU LIGHT INDUSTRIAL SPECIAL USE
DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE SPECIAL USE OF SAID PROPERTY TO
PERMIT THE PLACEMENT OF AN INSURANCE AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Zoning map which is part of Ordinance No.
2325-1968 designates and describes as M-1 Light
Industrial District certain property located at 110
East Main Street; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the
zoning classification of said property from M-1 Light
Industrial District to M-1 SU Light Industrial
Special Use District and to authorize the Special Use
of said property to permit the placement of an
Insurance Agency; and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the
Richmond City Plan Commission the .S'j-& day of
1987, at which time
remonst ances were heard from all parties interested
in or affected by this Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was q
to _() in favor of/' recommending
the passage of Ordinance No. 43-1987.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana as follows:
SECTION 1. That the zoning classification of the property
described below, and the same is hereby changed to
M-1 SU Light Industrial Special Use District, and
that said property be regulated in accordance with
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana
and all amendments thereto.
Being all of Lot Two (2) and parts of Lots Three (3)
and Four (4) in Robert Morrison's addition to the
City of Richmond, Indiana, more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the south line of Lot Three
(3) Robert Morrison's Addition on the north line of
Main Street, in the City of Richmond, Indiana,
seventy-four and seven tenths (74.70) feet west of
the southeast corner of said Lot Three (3); thence
north parallel with the east line of Lot Three (3)
one hundred sixty (160.0) feet to the north line of
Lot Four (4) and the south line of a fourteen and
one-half (14.50) foot alley; thence west along the
south line of said alley ninety-three (93.00) feet;
thence south one hundred sixty (160.00) feet to the
southwest corner of Lot Two (2) and the north line of
Main Street; thence east along the north line of Main
Street ninety-three (93.00) feet to place of
beginning.
Also, that part of vacated alleys in the Robert
Morrison Addition added to the above described real
estate, as set out in Plat Book 11, page 558 and
recorded August 12, 1974, in the Office of the Wayne
County Recorder.
SECTION 2. That as provided in Articles 34.01 and 48 of Chapter
154 of the Municipal Code, the following described
use of the above described real estate is allowed as
a Special Use to permit the placement of an Insurance
Office.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approved as by law
required,
