HomeMy Public PortalAbout048-1987- APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND.APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 48-1987 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporaion the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated. GENERAL FUND Board of Works- 3000 AMOUNT AMOUNT ,REQUESTED APPROPRIATED $85,000 $85,000 SECTION 2. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purposes specified. Said sum being subject to the laws governing the same. AMOUNT AMOUNT BEQUESTED REDUCED CASH OPERATING $85,000 $85,000 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. MEETING F THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIA,IIA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City on September 21, 1987, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Councilmember Brookbank presided with the following members present: Councilmembers: Elstro, Williams, Hankinson, Whitesell, Parker, Hutton, Morris and Theobald Absent: None The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented Proof of Publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the date of September 11, 1987. Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the 21st day of September , 1987, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the year 1987 within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The Proof of Publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilmember Morris moved the Proof of Publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilmember Hutton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 48-1987. President Brookbank announced Ordinance No. 48-1987 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 48-1987 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro, Williams, Hankinson, Whitesell, Parker, Hutton, Theobald, Morris and Brookbank Nays: None Absent: None The vote being 9 to 0 in favor of the passage of Ordinance No. 48-1987. At such hearing taxpayers objecting to any of such additional appropriations may be heard.
