Answered: 16 Skipped: 0 11 / 11 CIP Committee - Meeting #1 Brainstorming Page 13 of 19 Page 14 of 19 Additional Ideas/Proposals Submitted from Brainstorming Survey  I remember one of the reasons for the low amount of street lights was the light pollution, and being able to see the stars. Which is a good idea, how about lighted street markers on the lane strips. o Added to General Infrastructure Proposals  Sidewalks on 12 th street o Included in Transportation & Connectivity  Clean up 6th street and gateway areas off ramps into the City. o Included in General Infrastructure  Traffic backup on 1st Street. People are using 1st to bypass backup traffic to access freeway from Hwy 79 therefore clogging 1st and Pennsylvania. o Included in Traffic Mitigation – Pennsylvania Ave Improvements, SR60/I-1o Improvements and Potrero Interchange  PLEASE, can we get rid of the plethora of liquor shops? They don't help with the image of our city in the least. o This is a general zoning question. All liquor stores are approved by the Beaumont Planning Commission. The City cannot force the closure of a business that is properly zoned and holds the necessary license/permit.  Pothole repair o Please utilize Ask Beaumont for general requests.  Connect Sun Lakes Blvd to Sunset. o Project would be located in the City of Banning. Beaumont has no jurisdiction.  Bury power lines in older sections of city as roads and sidewalks are repaired/installed to assist with beautification. o Added to General Infrastructure Proposals  Improvements the city needs can/should be negotiated with new builders; requiring contractors to build with long term goals in mind... solar lighting, zoning, roads, etc. o Added to General Infrastructure Proposals  Additional on/off ramp at Jack Rabbit Trail going north towards Oak Valley Pkwy. o Potrero Interchange (in progress) at SR60 will connect to Oak Valley Parkway. Location is less than a mile from Jack Rabbit Trail. Page 15 of 19  Trimming and maintenance of the shurbs and brush around the city. o Please utilize Ask Beaumont for general requests. o Include in Downtown Improvements  There needs to be more public transportation for the high school. Increased buses, not canceling the second bus, and coordinating bus schedule with minimum days. o Beaumont Pass Transit provides safe, public transportation with the Pass area. Route schedules and time points are designed to meet the needs of all transit dependent individuals in the community, including general passengers, working adults, seniors and retirees, veterans, disabled, and youth.
