A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO THE VENDOR PROCUREMENT
LIST
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Municipal Code ("LMC") provides various procedures for
the acquisition of supplies, equipment and routine services such as traffic signs, lighting
supplies, janitorial supplies, paint, asphalt.
WHEREAS, Section 6-3.7 of the LMC includes various procedures for the
procurement of supplies depending upon the dollar amount; and
WHEREAS, expenditures greater than $25,000 require a formal bidding process;
and
WHEREAS, Section 6-3.13 of the LMC provides that the City may acquires
supplies without a competitive bidding process, if the City Council shall find by resolution
adopted by not less than four-fifths (4/5) of its members, that such an acquisition may be
economically, and efficiently effected through the use of an alternate procedure; and
WHERAS, the City Council, from time to time, approves a list of vendors and
purchasing limits for these vendors; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the attached Public Works
Department Vendors List (Exhibit "A") and annual expenditure cap for FY 2021 and
authorizes the City Manager or designee to approve purchase orders in an amount not-
to-exceed expenditure caps for the Public Works Department.
Section 2. That this list shall be valid for FY 2021 and the list shall carryover to
the subsequent fiscal years unless amended.
Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
