Home My Public Portal About066-1987- APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUNDAPPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 66-1987 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various function of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1987, the fallowing amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to the law governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from Local Road and Street Fund the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND $65,000 $65,000 To be used for the following: 3000-Other Services and Charges $65,000 $65,000 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City on December 7, 1987, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Councilmember Brookbank presided with the following members present: Councilmembers: Elstro, Williams, Hankinson, Parker, Hutton, Morris and Theobald Absent: Whitesell The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented Proof of Publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the date of November 27, 198T Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the 7th day of December, 1987, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the year 1987 within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The Proof of Publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilmember Parker moved the Proof of Publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilmember Hutton and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 66-1987. President Brookbank announced Ordinance No. 66-1987 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 66-1987 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro, Williams, Hankinson, Parker, Hutton, Theobaid, Morris and Brookbank Nays: None Absent: Whitesell The vote being 8 to 0 in favor of the passage of Ordinance No. 66-1987.
