A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, APPROVING
AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL BUILDING
INSPECTION AND PLAN EXAMINATION SERVICES AND
AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE
SUCH AGREEMENTS TO PROVIDE FOR BUILDING,
ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL AND OTHER PLAN
EXAMINATION AND BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES;
PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Manager has requested authority from the Village Council for the
Village to use the services of qualified independent contractors to provide municipal building
inspection and plan examination services, pursuant to the South Florida Building Code, for the
Village of Key Biscayne Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to enable the Village Manager to accomplish such
purpose, and finds that the approval of the attached Agreement for Professional Building Inspection
and Plan Examination Services is in the best interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Agreement for Professional Building Inspection and Plan Examination
Services, in substantially the form attached hereto, is hereby approved and the Village Manager is
authorized to enter into and execute such agreements with the necessary independent contractors
providing building inspection and plan examination services.
Section 2. That the Village Manager is authorized to take all action necessary to implement
the purposes of this Resolution and the Agreement.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
