HomeMy Public PortalAboutPC Minutes 06.09.2020PLANNING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING 550 E 6th Street, Beaumont, CA Tuesday, June 09, 2020 - 6:00 PM MINUTES REGULAR SESSION 6:00 PM CALL TO ORDER at 6:05 p.m. Present: Chairman Tinker, Vice Chairman Stephens, Commissioner Colindres, Commissioner Smith, Commissioner St. Martin Pledge of Allegiance: Approval/Adjustments to Agenda: None Conflict of Interest Disclosure: None PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD (ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA): Any one person may address the Committee on any matter not on this agenda. If you wish to speak, please fill out a “Public Comment Form” provided at the back table and give it to the Committee Chair or Secretary. There is a three (3) minute limit on public comments. There will be no sharing or passing of time to another person. State Law prohibits the Committee from discussing or taking actions brought up by your comments. No speakers ACTION ITEMS / PUBLIC HEARINGS / REQUESTS Approval of all Ordinances and Resolutions to be read by title only. 1. Approval of Minutes Motion by Commissioner St. Martin Second by Vice Chair Stephen To approve Minutes dated May 12, 2020 Approved by a unanimous vote. 2. Consideration of a Request for a One-Year Extension of Time for Tentative Parcel Map 34990 (South Side of Oak Valley Parkway, East of Interstate 10) Public Hearing opened at 6:15 p.m. J. Kamm - Applicant answered questions of the Commission. Public Hearing closed at 6:20 p.m. Motion by Commissioner St. Martin Second by Vice Chair Stephen To forward a recommendation of approval to City Council for a one-year extension of time for Tentative Parcel Map 34990. Approved by a unanimous vote. 3. Consideration of the Proposed Addition of Chapter 8.55 Regulation of Shopping Carts to the Beaumont Municipal Code Public Hearing opened at 6:55 p.m. Public Hearing closed at 6:56 p.m. Motion by Commissioner St. Martin Seconded by Commissioner Colindres To forward to City Council a recommendation of approval of Chapter 8.55 Regulation of Shopping Carts with the amendment to the language to recycle carts rather than dispose of. Approved by a unanimous vote. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR COMMENTS Shared that the City's Planning Project webpage is being loaded with new projects. Gave an status of the Protrero Logistics Center. Announced an upcoming kick off meeting for parking strategies in which the City received a grant for. ADJOURNMENT at 7:04 p.m.
