HomeMy Public PortalAbout2014.05.29 Letter Resignation Anna TortiAnne Kantola From: A Torti [atorti@hotmail.comj Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2014 3:58 PM To: Anne Kantola Subject: sad (and good) news Dear Anne and fellow board members, As you may know, when I moved back to Idaho last July, it was my intention to secure employment and live where I own my home, namely McCall. After some months of fruitless searching in the area, I expanded my search to the Treasure Valley and indeed have (finally) found a full time job teaching lingustics for the English Dept. at BSU. This is both positive and negative. Positive for obvious reasons, but negative because it means that my primary residence will no longer be in McCall, but rather Boise and so I must resign from the library board. Even if we could find some way around this city requirement, at this time, logistically, I am finding it impossible to attend important meetings (I must also resign from other organizations that I love) due to the physical requirement of being in Boise. I am now only in McCall about 1 weekend per month, which is impossible. I so regret not having found any sort of gainful employment in the place I call home, but accept this letter as my official letter of resignation from the board and please advise me if I should also write personally to our city manager. I hope I continue to see most of you around town and perhaps in the future, some opportunity will present itself for me there! Best Regards, Anna Torti 1
